Nagarkot
Nagarkot lies on a ridge on the north eastern rim of kathmandu valley. It is the second highest point on the valley rim, with the elevation of 2175 m above sea level. This area lies more or less in rectangular shape extending east to west direction. It lies entirely in the central hilly region of Nepal in between the greater Himalayan and Mahabharat range. It covers an area of about 1258 hectors. Administratively this area is spared over two different village development committees of kavrepalanchok and Bhaktapur districts
The landform of Nagarkot comprises complex and surged ridge and spurs. The hill terrain has a distinct feature in the landscape. The elevation rises from 2000m to 2175m. The hill system is crisscrossed by a number of irregular ridges and spurs. The ridge has a step east face and west and south slope. The landscape is facing north, south and west, slopes are steep. A huge area in the east is covered by forest.
Nagarkot is one of the most fascinating and beautiful natural spot in Nepal. Lying about 32 Km north –east from Capital Kathmandu and it is very famous place for its natural beauty.
